๐๐๐น๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฑ, ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป โ The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan had the privilege of hosting probationary officers from the 53rd Common Training Programme (CTP) at its headquarters as part of their Islamabad Study Tour. The visit brought together a syndicate group of probationary officers who are currently undergoing pre-service training at the Civil Services Academy, Walton Campus, Lahore.
Dr. Haider Abbas, TI, Director General of National CERT, warmly welcomed the future civil servants and provided them with valuable insights into the organization's pivotal role in safeguarding Pakistan's cyberspace. The session was further enriched by a comprehensive briefing delivered by Mr. Syed Imran Haider, Assistant Director Trainings, who elaborated on the evolving national and international threat landscape. The probationary officers were also briefed on National CERT's core mandate, strategic initiatives, and operational framework in responding to cyber emergencies and building national cyber resilience.
This engagement aligns with the broader objectives of the CTP's Islamabad Study Tour, which aims to familiarize probationary officers with various tiers of federal government operations and expose them to critical aspects of national security, including cybersecurity. The visit provided the officers with an opportunity to understand the administrative, social, and economic dimensions of cyber governance while gathering relevant data for their assigned syndicate research topics.
National CERT remains committed to fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration with future leaders of Pakistan's civil services. We look forward to continued partnerships with the Civil Services Academy in building awareness about cybersecurity challenges and strengthening the nation's collective capacity to address emerging digital threats.
