๐๐๐น๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฑ, ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ปโThe National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan conducted a comprehensive cybersecurity awareness session titled โSecure Together: Building a Culture of Cyber Awarenessโ for the officials of the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). The session was held at the PMD Headquarters and aimed to strengthen the departmentโs resilience against emerging cyber threats through enhanced knowledge and best practices.
Designed in line with the National CERTโs Cybersecurity Training Guidelines, the session addressed the unique cybersecurity needs of PMDโs end users, operational staff, and management tiers. The interactive session provided participants with practical insights into recognizing, preventing, and responding to cyber incidents, while also emphasizing the importance of cultivating a proactive cybersecurity culture across all levels of the organization.
The session was led by Mr. Khurram Javed, Director Capacity Building, who highlighted the growing significance of cybersecurity preparedness in critical public sector institutions. He reiterated National CERTโs commitment to empowering government organizations through capacity building and continuous awareness initiatives to ensure a secure and resilient digital ecosystem in Pakistan.
