The program marks a significant stride toward empowering Pakistanโs next generation of digital defenders, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to navigate todayโs evolving cybersecurity landscape.
Ms. Zaheema Iqbal, Assistant Director Advisories & Communications at National CERT, was invited as a guest speaker for the event. During her insightful session on โPakistanโs Cyber Threat Landscape,โ she discussed emerging risks and vulnerabilities across three critical tiers: individual, organizational, and national. She emphasized the importance of awareness, proactive defense mechanisms, and unified national coordination to strengthen Pakistanโs digital resilience against the ever-growing spectrum of cyber threats.
Ms. Iqbal also apprised the participants of National CERTโs ongoing initiatives, including Cyber NEST (a capacity-building and innovation hub), Cyber Care for Children (focused on online safety for minors), the Cyber Aagahi Series (raising public awareness on cyber hygiene), and the Junior Cyber Superheroes Program (empowering children as responsible digital citizens). She further highlighted National CERTโs strategic roadmap for advancing Pakistanโs cybersecurity infrastructure underscoring public-private collaboration, talent development, and alignment with international best practices to ensure a safer and more secure digital future for the nation.
Through such engagements, National CERT reaffirms its commitment to fostering a cyber-aware society and building a robust cybersecurity ecosystem that safeguards Pakistanโs digital landscape for generations to come.
