๐๐ฎ๐ต๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ, ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป โ National CERT sincerely appreciates the efforts of the National School of Public Policy (NSPP) for proactively integrating cybersecurity into their Directorsโ Training Program as a separate module in the National Management Course (for officers in the BS-20 to BS-21 promotion zone) at Pakistanโs Administrative Staff College. This forward-thinking initiative marks a critical step toward embedding cybersecurity governance into the core of Pakistanโs public sector leadership.
In line with this initiative, Dr. Haider Abbas, TI, Director General of National CERT, was honored to be invited as a guest speaker to deliver an expert lecture on "๐๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฎ ๐๐ถ๐ญ๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ข๐ฃ๐ช๐ญ๐ช๐ต๐ช๐ฆ๐ด ๐ต๐ฐ ๐๐ฆ๐ง๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ด๐ฆ๐ด: ๐๐บ๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ด๐ฆ๐ค๐ถ๐ณ๐ช๐ต๐บ ๐๐ฐ๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ๐ฏ๐ข๐ฏ๐ค๐ฆ, ๐๐ช๐ด๐ฌ๐ด, ๐๐ฆ๐ด๐ฑ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ด๐ฆ๐ด, ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ฆ๐ด๐ช๐ญ๐ช๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ค๐ฆ." The session was attended by senior officers from the Pakistan Administrative Service, Police Service of Pakistan, Pakistan Customs Service, Inland Revenue Service, and Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service.
Dr. Abbas emphasized the emerging cybersecurity threats facing Pakistanโs digital infrastructure and presented a comprehensive overview of countermeasure strategies to mitigate these risks. His lecture provided strategic insights into cybersecurity considerations within corporate and public governance, highlighting the critical need to cultivate a resilient cybersecurity culture across all levels of government and public service. The senior officers were also provided with guidelines for strategic planning to incorporate cybersecurity best practices into their respective departments, contributing to the development of a robust national cybersecurity culture.
