𝗟𝗮𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲, 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 – National CERT sincerely appreciates the efforts of the National School of Public Policy (NSPP) for proactively integrating cybersecurity into their Directors’ Training Program as a separate module in the National Management Course (for officers in the BS-20 to BS-21 promotion zone) at Pakistan’s Administrative Staff College. This forward-thinking initiative marks a critical step toward embedding cybersecurity governance into the core of Pakistan’s public sector leadership.

In line with this initiative, Dr. Haider Abbas, TI, Director General of National CERT, was honored to be invited as a guest speaker to deliver an expert lecture on "𝘍𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘝𝘶𝘭𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘋𝘦𝘧𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘴: 𝘊𝘺𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘎𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘙𝘪𝘴𝘬𝘴, 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦." The session was attended by senior officers from the Pakistan Administrative Service, Police Service of Pakistan, Pakistan Customs Service, Inland Revenue Service, and Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service.

Dr. Abbas emphasized the emerging cybersecurity threats facing Pakistan’s digital infrastructure and presented a comprehensive overview of countermeasure strategies to mitigate these risks. His lecture provided strategic insights into cybersecurity considerations within corporate and public governance, highlighting the critical need to cultivate a resilient cybersecurity culture across all levels of government and public service. The senior officers were also provided with guidelines for strategic planning to incorporate cybersecurity best practices into their respective departments, contributing to the development of a robust national cybersecurity culture.

National CERT remains committed to partnering with national institutions to enhance cybersecurity awareness, resilience, and readiness across Pakistan’s public administration landscape.
