๐๐๐น๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฑ, ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป โ In a major step toward bolstering Pakistanโs cybersecurity ecosystem, the National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Common Criteria Pakistan Lab (CCP). This partnership is aimed at enhancing the national cybersecurity resilience through collaboration in research, information sharing, capacity building, and coordinated incident response.
The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Haider Abbas, TI (DG, National CERT), and Mr. Kashif Rahim (Project Director, CCP). This collaboration aims to strengthen Pakistanโs ability to safeguard its digital infrastructure by leveraging CCPโs expertise in evaluating and certifying IT security products against international standards.
Through this partnership, National CERT and CCP will work together on joint research initiatives, knowledge exchange, and specialized training programs to build advanced cybersecurity capabilities. Furthermore, both organizations have committed to sharing timely intelligence on vulnerabilities, threats, and incidents, while coordinating efforts to ensure rapid and effective response to cyber incidents.
By joining forces, National CERT and CCP reaffirm their shared commitment to advancing national cyber defense mechanisms, ensuring secure technology adoption, and fostering a trusted and resilient digital environment in Pakistan.
