The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan successfully conducted a specialized cybersecurity capacity-building training on Risk-Informed Security Readiness for Cyber Threat Resilience for officers of the National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC). The training was aligned with National CERTโs Training Guidelines and was thoughtfully designed to accommodate a diverse audience, including senior executives, management, technical and operational personnel. By addressing strategic, managerial and technical dimensions, the program ensured a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity risk and organizational preparedness at all levels.
The session was delivered by Mr. Khurram Javed, Director Capacity Building, National CERT, who provided expert insights on risk identification and mitigation at both individual and organizational levels, with particular emphasis on establishing an effective risk management ecosystem to strengthen cyber threat resilience. In addition to onsite participation by officials from NTC headquarters, representatives from NTC regional centers across Pakistan actively joined the session online, ensuring broad nationwide engagement. The training was highly interactive, fostering meaningful discussions, practical insights, and knowledge sharing. Participants demonstrated strong interest throughout the session and actively engaged in scenario-based discussions focused on real-world cyber threats and organizational risk posture.
National CERT remains committed to building national cybersecurity capacity by empowering public sector organizations with the knowledge, skills, and frameworks required to effectively prevent, manage, and respond to cyber threats, thereby contributing to a secure and resilient digital Pakistan.
