The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan celebrated the completion of the apprenticeship of the inaugural batch under its CyberNest Program. The closing ceremony marked a significant milestone in Pakistan's journey toward building a robust cybersecurity workforce, as recent graduates from across the nation completed an intensive eight-week apprenticeship designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.

CyberNest is a premier capacity building initiative designed to empower emerging talent with cutting-edge skills in Information & Cyber Security. Through exposure to the latest trends, tools, and technologies, the program prepares graduates to confidently transition into professional roles and contribute to Pakistan’s rapidly evolving digital ecosystem.

During the closing ceremony, Dr. Haider Abbas, TI, DG National CERT, addressed the batch, acknowledging their commitment to excellence and encouraging them to become champions of Pakistan's cybersecurity landscape. Mr. Khurram Javed, Director Capacity Building, commended the apprentices for their dedication, hard work, and exceptional performance throughout the program. Additionally, Mr. Syed Imran Haider, Assistant Director Trainings, interacted with the apprentices, sharing insights and engaging with them on their learning experiences and future roles in strengthening national cybersecurity. Certificates of completion were distributed among the successful participants, recognizing their achievement and readiness to contribute to the nation's digital defense.

As CyberNest continues to expand, National CERT remains committed to nurturing cybersecurity talent, strengthening national cyber resilience, and developing a skilled workforce capable of safeguarding Pakistan’s digital future.
