𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗧 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝘁𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲, 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 & 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱, 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 – The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan successfully conducted the fifth session of its Executive Cybersecurity Leadership Program at its Headquarters, further advancing its mission to strengthen Pakistan’s cybersecurity resilience through executive leadership, institutional coordination, and cross-sector collaboration. The program brings together senior executives and decision-makers from government ministries, sector regulators, academia, and public and private-sector organizations to address evolving cyber risk challenges and enhance national cyber preparedness.

The session was delivered by Mr. Tauseef Aslam, CISO & DPO (Cyber Security and Data Protection), who shared extensive practical insights into incident response planning, crisis management, and organizational resilience. Drawing on his professional expertise, he highlighted the critical role of executive leadership in preparing organizations to effectively respond to cyber incidents while ensuring operational continuity and stakeholder confidence.

Key discussions focused on the design and implementation of effective Incident Response Plans (IRPs), coordination mechanisms with National CERT during major cyber incidents, and crisis management approaches, including public communication strategies during cybersecurity events. Participants also explored Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) best practices, emphasizing the importance of resilience planning to minimize operational disruption and accelerate recovery from cyber incidents. A key highlight of the session was a tabletop cyber attack response simulation, where participants engaged in a practical exercise to strengthen decision-making, inter-organizational coordination, and executive preparedness.

Through interactive discussions and scenario-based learning, participants gained practical strategies to enhance incident response capabilities, reinforce organizational resilience, and strengthen cyber crisis governance.
