๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต๐ถ, ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป โ The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan actively participated in the CISO Roundtable 2026, jointly organized with MA3 Cyber, bringing together leading Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), senior cybersecurity professionals, and key decision-makers from across Pakistan's digital ecosystem. Held as an exclusive, closed-door forum, the roundtable provided a trusted platform for senior cybersecurity leaders to engage in strategic dialogue, exchange real-world experiences, deliberate on emerging cyber threats, and explore practical approaches to strengthening Pakistan's collective cyber resilience.
The roundtable opened with a keynote address by DG National CERT, Dr. Haider Abbas, TI, who underscored the importance of strengthening collaboration and fostering a more connected national cybersecurity ecosystem. The CISO Roundtable 2026 was structured around three critical dimensions of cybersecurity: Code, Combat, and Culture. Under Code, participants examined application security, secure software development, software supply chain risks, vulnerability management, and the protection of critical digital infrastructure, with Mr. Asif Raza Kazmi, Director TDC, contributing insights to the discussion. The Combat pillar focused on operational readiness through realistic cyber-range scenarios, attack simulations, incident response, and high-pressure decision-making, with Ms. Adeela Waqar, Director Labs, bringing her expertise to the conversation. Under Culture, discussions highlighted the human dimension of cybersecurity, including security awareness, behavioural change, and the development of sustainable security cultures within organizations, with Mr. Khurram Javed, Director Capacity Building, contributing to this critical dialogue.
The CISO Roundtable 2026 provided an important platform for strengthening institutional linkages, sharing practical insights, and advancing collective approaches to cybersecurity challenges. A key milestone of the roundtable was the launch of the National CISO Consortium, a National CERT initiative aimed at fostering sustained engagement and collaboration among the country's leading CISOs and senior cybersecurity leaders. National CERT appreciates the participation, insights, and valuable contributions of all CISOs and cybersecurity leaders who joined this important dialogue. The National CERT also acknowledges and appreciates MA3 Cyber for its valuable support and contribution towards the successful organization of the event.
