๐๐๐น๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฑ, ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป โ The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan hosted a delegation from the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), Karachi, enrolled in the 40th Senior Management Course (SMC) as part of the courseโs Inland Study Tour. The visiting delegation comprised approximately 34 government officers from federal and provincial governments and autonomous bodies, accompanied by three course faculty members.
The Inland Study Tour is an integral component of the SMC, providing senior government officers with first-hand exposure to the institutional frameworks, management practices, governance mechanisms, and operational functioning of key public-sector and other strategic organizations.
The visit to National CERT provided the participants with an opportunity to gain practical insights into Pakistanโs evolving cybersecurity landscape and the national institutional response to emerging cyber threats. Mr. Syed Imran Haider, Assistant Director Trainings, National CERT, welcomed the delegation and delivered a comprehensive briefing on the mandate, organizational structure, functions, and strategic role of National CERT. He also highlighted key initiatives and programmes undertaken by National CERT to strengthen national cyber resilience, enhance cybersecurity awareness, develop technical capacity, and foster collaboration across government, academia, industry, and other stakeholders.
The visit also featured an interactive session, providing participants an opportunity to engage with National CERT officials, discuss contemporary cybersecurity challenges, and better understand the importance of coordinated institutional mechanisms in safeguarding Pakistanโs digital ecosystem. The engagement underscored the significance of informed leadership, inter-institutional coordination, and capacity development in advancing national cybersecurity and digital resilience.
