𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗧 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝟯 𝗗𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟱-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝗛𝗞𝗡𝗖𝗥𝗗

𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱, 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 – The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan delivered three dedicated training sessions as part of the 5-Day Training on “Cyber Security and Data Protection in Digital Governance”, organized by the Akhtar Hameed Khan National Centre for Rural Development (AHKNCRD). The sessions focused on strengthening participants’ understanding of cybersecurity, data protection, and the human and institutional dimensions of digital governance. The training brought together government employees, members of academia, and industry professionals from different cities across Pakistan.

The session on “Government of Pakistan’s Policies & Initiatives for Cyber Security & Data Protection in the Country” was delivered by Dr. Mehreen Afzal, Director, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), providing participants with insights into Pakistan’s evolving cybersecurity and data protection landscape, along with key government policies and initiatives.

Mr. Syed Imran Haider, Assistant Director, Trainings, National CERT, delivered two sessions covering “Cyber Security Awareness and Human Factors” and “International Cooperation and Collaborations for Cyber Security and Data Protection.” The sessions highlighted the critical role of human behaviour in cybersecurity and the importance of international collaboration in addressing increasingly complex and cross-border cyber threats.

Through such capacity-building initiatives, National CERT continues to contribute to strengthening cybersecurity awareness, institutional preparedness, and data protection capabilities across Pakistan’s public sector. These efforts support a more secure, resilient, and trusted digital governance ecosystem.
