The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan actively participated in the Cyber Uraan Hackathon โ Batch 2, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening the countryโs cybersecurity posture through proactive engagement and knowledge sharing. Representing National CERT, Ms. Zaheema Iqbal, Assistant Director (Advisories & Communications), contributed as both a panelist and a trainer, highlighting the organizationโs ongoing efforts to build a resilient and secure digital ecosystem.
As part of the event, Ms. Iqbal delivered an insightful training session on โPakistanโs Cyber Threat Landscape & Recent Initiatives,โ providing participants with a comprehensive overview of emerging cyber threats, evolving attack vectors, and the strategic measures being undertaken at the national level. The session emphasized the importance of preparedness, coordinated response mechanisms, and the role of informed stakeholders in mitigating cyber risks.
National CERT continues to prioritize youth engagement as a cornerstone of national cyber defense. Platforms such as Cyber Uraan play a critical role in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, enabling young talent to develop the technical competencies required to address real-world cybersecurity challenges.
Through sustained collaboration between academia, government institutions, and the broader community, National CERT remains dedicated to advancing its vision of a secure, resilient, and digitally empowered Pakistan.
