Director General, National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan, Dr. Haider Abbas, TI, delivered a series of high-level strategic sessions on โNational Cybersecurity Risks & Countermeasuresโ at the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) and the Administrative Staff College of the National School of Public Policy (NSPP). These engagements were delivered as part of the Senior Management Course (SMC) and National Management Course (NMC) respectively, bringing together senior civil servants from across Pakistan.
The sessions convened officers from key cadres including the Pakistan Administrative Service, Police Service, Foreign Service, and Federal Board of Revenue, fostering a unified understanding of the rapidly evolving cyber threat landscape. Emphasis was placed on the growing risks to critical national infrastructure and the urgent need for robust, coordinated, and proactive cybersecurity measures at the national level.
Key discussions focused on strengthening cybersecurity governance frameworks, enhancing policy coherence, and improving inter-agency coordination mechanisms.
