๐๐๐น๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฑ, ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป โ The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan successfully conducted a comprehensive 5-day Certified Network Defender (CND) training program for government officials. The training was organized by the Capacity Building Directorate, reaffirming the organizationโs commitment to strengthening network defense capabilities, enhancing cyber defense expertise, and building cyber resilience across government institutions.
A total of 42 government employees representing various ministries, divisions, and attached departments participated in the program. Conducted in accordance with National CERTโs Cybersecurity Training Guidelines, the training focused on network security architecture, network defense strategies, threat detection and analysis, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), firewall configuration and management, network traffic monitoring, endpoint security, incident response, log analysis, network vulnerability assessment, and internationally recognized best practices for protecting and defending critical network infrastructure.
The sessions were highly engaging and interactive, featuring expert-led lectures, hands-on laboratory exercises, real-world attack and defense scenarios, practical network security simulations, and collaborative technical discussions. Participants demonstrated exceptional enthusiasm throughout the training and actively engaged with the instructors, reflecting their commitment to strengthening defensive cybersecurity capabilities and implementing proactive network security measures within their respective organizations.
At the closing ceremony, Mr. Khurram Javed, Director Capacity Building, distributed certificates of participation among the attendees and addressed the participants. He appreciated their dedication, active participation, and commitment to professional excellence, and reiterated that National CERT, through its Capacity Building initiatives, remains steadfastly committed to developing a highly skilled cybersecurity workforce, strengthening national cyber defense capabilities, and fostering a robust cybersecurity culture across government institutions to support Pakistanโs secure digital transformation.
