𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗧 𝗜𝗻𝗮𝘂𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻

𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱, 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 – National CERT in collaboration with the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) and with the generous support of the Embassy of Norway, has inaugurated two new infrastructure facilities aimed at advancing cybersecurity capacity development in Pakistan.

The Multi-Facility Hub is a modern, purpose-built venue for professional training programs, interactive workshops, stakeholder consultations, seminars, round tables, table talks, and high-level meetings. The flexible, technology-enabled space will play a key role in enhancing the technical competencies of government officials, critical infrastructure personnel, academia, and other key stakeholders, contributing to a skilled and resilient national cybersecurity workforce.

The Public Awareness and Media Studio (PAMS) is a state-of-the-art multimedia facility equipped with modern audio-visual technology and professional broadcasting capabilities, built to support high-quality podcasts, interviews, live streams, webinars, and digital content production. PAMS will serve as a dedicated platform for producing engaging, informative content on digital safety, cybersecurity awareness, cyber hygiene, and emerging cyber threats enabling National CERT to educate citizens, organizations, and stakeholders through expert discussions, interviews, and awareness campaigns.

Both facilities were formally inaugurated by Dr. Haider Abbas, TI, Director General National CERT, and Ms. Siri Håkedal Vestøl, Counsellor (Immigration Liaison Officer), Royal Norwegian Embassy, Pakistan.

Speaking on the occasion, DG National CERT briefed the Counsellor on National CERT's mandate and role in the country's cybersecurity landscape, underscoring the importance of the inauguration, and thanked the Norwegian Embassy for establishing these facilities at NCERT, noting that they will serve as valuable resources for all stakeholders. Ms. Vestøl lauded the important work being carried out by National CERT in strengthening Pakistan's digital ecosystem and expressed hope for continued collaboration in the country's development going forward.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to building a digitally secure, socially resilient, and culturally cohesive Pakistan capable of addressing contemporary challenges through innovation, dialogue, and collective action.
