The training was attended by nominated officials from 25 federal ministries and their attached departments, including incumbents from National CERT, ensuring broad representation and inter-organizational engagement.
Designed in alignment with National CERTโs Training Guidelines, the session focused on transitioning Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) from a compliance-driven approach to a value-oriented framework that supports organizational trust, risk management, and business confidence. The interactive format encouraged active participation, practical discussions, and experience sharing among participants.
The training session was expertly delivered by Mr. Salman Qureshi, National CERT's Distinguished Research Fellow, who provided participants with valuable insights into Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). He provided in-depth insights into ISMS best practices, international standards, risk-based implementation strategies, and the role of information security in enabling organizational objectives. Through real-world examples and scenario-based discussions, participants gained a clearer understanding of how effective ISMS implementation contributes to sustainable governance and informed decision-making.
Mr. Khurram Javed, Director Capacity Building, and Mr. Syed Imran Haider, Assistant Director Training, commended the participants for their active engagement and emphasised the critical importance of such capacity-building initiatives.
