𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗧 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 "𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗚𝗼𝘃: 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲"

𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘊𝘌𝘙𝘛 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘐𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘥 – Building on the momentum of its earlier sessions, the National CERT successfully conducted the third training session of the “CyberSecureGov: Cyber Guidelines Initiative.” This flagship program, as part of the National CERT’s Cybersecurity Capacity Building efforts, is committed to equipping government institutions with critical knowledge and methodologies to defend against the ever-changing landscape of cyber threats.

This session welcomed representatives from the Ministry of Law and Justice, Ministry of Industries & Production, Ministry Of IT & Telecom (MoITT), NADRA, Federal Investigation Agency - FIA, and the National Forensic Agency (NFA) under the Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan. Discussions centered around fortifying institutional cybersecurity, with a strong focus on Risk Identification and Mitigation Strategies to enhance preparedness and strengthen cyber defenses.

The session featured an engaging deliverance by Dr. Mehreen Afzal, Director GRC, who underscored the necessity of adopting a cohesive approach to cybersecurity governance. She shared insights from the National CERT’s "Cybersecurity Implementation Guidelines," offering detailed strategies to tackle vulnerabilities and proactively manage risks.

Adding to the discourse, Mr. Khurram Javed, Director Capacity Building, delved into frameworks for bolstering resilience and shared practical methodologies for addressing cyber challenges. His emphasis on institutional readiness and strategic cybersecurity planning provided participants with actionable takeaways to improve their defense mechanisms.

The “CyberSecureGov” initiative remains a vital forum for promoting collaboration, sharing best practices, and advancing cybersecurity expertise in the government organizations. National CERT reaffirms its commitment to strengthening Pakistan’s digital resilience, with more sessions planned to broaden the initiative's reach and impact.
