๐๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ถ๐ข๐ณ๐ต๐ฆ๐ณ๐ด, ๐๐ด๐ญ๐ข๐ฎ๐ข๐ฃ๐ข๐ฅ โ Building on the momentum of its earlier sessions, the National CERT successfully conducted the third training session of the โCyberSecureGov: Cyber Guidelines Initiative.โ This flagship program, as part of the National CERTโs Cybersecurity Capacity Building efforts, is committed to equipping government institutions with critical knowledge and methodologies to defend against the ever-changing landscape of cyber threats.
This session welcomed representatives from the Ministry of Law and Justice, Ministry of Industries & Production, Ministry Of IT & Telecom (MoITT), NADRA, Federal Investigation Agency - FIA, and the National Forensic Agency (NFA) under the Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan. Discussions centered around fortifying institutional cybersecurity, with a strong focus on Risk Identification and Mitigation Strategies to enhance preparedness and strengthen cyber defenses.
The session featured an engaging deliverance by Dr. Mehreen Afzal, Director GRC, who underscored the necessity of adopting a cohesive approach to cybersecurity governance. She shared insights from the National CERTโs "Cybersecurity Implementation Guidelines," offering detailed strategies to tackle vulnerabilities and proactively manage risks.
Adding to the discourse, Mr. Khurram Javed, Director Capacity Building, delved into frameworks for bolstering resilience and shared practical methodologies for addressing cyber challenges. His emphasis on institutional readiness and strategic cybersecurity planning provided participants with actionable takeaways to improve their defense mechanisms.
