๐ฃ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ผ, ๐ฃ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐๐ด๐ฎ๐น โ The Director General of the National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan, Dr. Haider Abbas, delivered a keynote address at the ENEIโ25 Conference, hosted by the University of Porto, Portugal (Universidade do Porto)
The invitation was extended through the globally renowned ACM Distinguished Speaker Program, an initiative of the ACM, Association for Computing Machinery, USAโthe worldโs largest computing society, representing nearly 100,000 members across more than 170 countries. Dr. Abbas has the honour of being appointed as ACMโs first Distinguished Speaker from Pakistan in 2019.
His keynote on "Cyberwarfare: Evolving Techniques and Emerging Challenges" explored the strategic implications of cyber conflict, the rise of hybrid threat vectors, the role of cyber diplomacy through resilience, and the urgent need for collaborative mechanisms to foster a digitally aware and secure society.
This engagement reflects Pakistanโs growing role and recognition in the global cybersecurity landscape, and National CERTโs commitment to advancing international knowledge exchange and building global cyber resilience.
