𝗗𝗚 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗧 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸𝘀 & 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲

𝗟𝗮𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲, 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 – Director General National CERT, Dr. Haider Abbas, TI, was invited to deliver a lecture on Cyber Security Risks & Counter Strategies at the Pakistan Administrative Staff College, National School of Public Policy (NSPP), Lahore. The session was conducted under the Director’s Training Programme (DTP), a specialized module within the National Management Course (NMC).

In his lecture, Dr. Abbas shed light on the rapidly evolving cyber threat landscape, highlighting the growing vulnerabilities faced by governments, institutions, and critical infrastructure. He shared practical frameworks and actionable counter-strategies that organizations and civil services can adopt to build resilience against cyber threats.

The session was attended by senior civil servants in the promotion zone of BS-21, representing various federal occupational groups, including the Pakistan Administrative Service, Police Service of Pakistan, Foreign Service of Pakistan, Inland Revenue Service, Pakistan Audit & Accounts Service, as well as federal, provincial, and departmental services. Thee interactive discussion emphasized the importance of integrating cybersecurity into governance, public policy, and strategic decision-making.

National CERT remains committed to strengthening cyber awareness, resilience, and preparedness across all sectors of governance, continuing its pivotal role in capacity building for Pakistan’s digital security.
