𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗧 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝟮 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗚𝗼𝘃 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝟮-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱, 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 - National CERT has officially launched Phase 2 of the CyberSecureGov initiative with a dedicated and comprehensive training aimed at advancing cyber readiness across federal government organizations. This Phase 2 training, aligned with National CERT’s Cybersecurity Training Guidelines and forming a key component of its broader Capacity Building Program, build upon the foundational progress of Phase 1 to help government entities operationalize cybersecurity practices and embed them sustainably within their institutional structures.
Phase 2 places strong emphasis on strengthening organizational capability, guiding organizations to establish dedicated cybersecurity components and adopt mature, resilient security postures. By supporting entities in shaping their internal frameworks, the program ensures that cybersecurity evolves from a compliance requirement into a deeply integrated and ongoing organizational priority.
The training brought together participants from key ministries, including the Ministry Of IT & Telecom, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior & Narcotics Control, Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Ministry of Science & Technology, Ministry of Communications, and the Ministry of Finance. Incumbents from multiple directorates of National CERT delivered interactive sessions on applying the Pakistan Information Security Framework, enhancing security implementation, developing robust cybersecurity policies, and establishing effective incident response mechanisms.
Participants were also engaged in practical demonstrations and discussions on cyber hygiene, secure technology practices, and preventive and corrective security measures. The hands-on approach enabled attendees to better understand how to institutionalize cybersecurity functions within their respective organizations and adopt a more mature, proactive posture toward emerging threats.
Dr. Haider Abbas, TI, Director General National CERT, addressed the participants, commending their commitment to strengthening national cyber defense. He also distributed certificates to acknowledge the successful completion of the training and encouraged continued collaboration toward a secure and resilient digital Pakistan.
