𝗗𝗚 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗧 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝗜𝗖 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗛 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘁

𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱, 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 – The Director General of National CERT, Dr. Haider Abbas, TI presented a comprehensive and actionable Collaboration strategy for cybersecurity among OIC member states during the International Workshop on "𝘊𝘺𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘖𝘐𝘊 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴: 𝘐𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘴" held at the COMSTECH Secretariat in Islamabad. The event was jointly organized by COMSTECH-OIC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation and Huawei Technologies.

The workshop brought together representatives from OIC countries CERTs, policymakers, and industry leaders to address critical cybersecurity challenges and develop strategies to combat emerging threats.

The Collaboration Framework, proposed by the DG National CERT, emphasizes key areas for joint efforts to strengthen cybersecurity. It focuses on facilitating real-time exchange of threat intelligence and best practices through information sharing, enhancing technical skills and expertise across member states via targeted training and resource sharing for capacity building, and coordinating swift, unified actions to effectively counter cybersecurity incidents through incident response measures.

The proposed framework received widespread commendation from participants for its pragmatic and actionable approach to strengthening cybersecurity resilience within the OIC community. National CERT remains steadfast in its mission to advance cybersecurity cooperation and ensure a secure digital future for all member states.
