๐๐๐น๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฑ, ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป โ The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan, conducted an engaging training session on Building Cyber Confidence in Women at Female Campus, Riphah International University. The training was conducted under National CERTโs newly launched Security Awareness for Female Empowerment and Resilience (SAFER) initiative, a key component of its broader Capacity Building Program, designed to address online threats faced by women, including harassment, stalking and scams, while promoting digital safety, consent and emotional resilience to foster a secure, respectful and inclusive online environment.
The session served as an engaging platform to develop confidence amongst women to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly. Through interactive discussions and real-world examples, attendees gained a deeper understanding of emerging cyber risks and the importance of proactive digital practices in both personal and professional contexts. Mr. Khurram Javed, Director Capacity Building, National CERT, led the session with emphasis on the collective role of education, awareness and collaboration in fostering a culture of cybersecurity. His dynamic engagement inspired participants to become advocates of digital safety within their institutions and communities.
Through initiatives like SAFER, National CERT continues to advance its mission of building a digitally resilient Pakistan by promoting inclusivity, education and empowerment in cybersecurity. More sessions are planned under the SAFER initiative across diverse female communities, further strengthening efforts to equip women with the knowledge and confidence to thrive in a secure and empowering digital ecosystem.
