The workshop aimed to strengthen the cyber readiness of government ministries by equipping officers with practical knowledge, essential frameworks, and emerging insights related to cybersecurity and responsible AI adoption under the Digital Nation Pakistan initiative. 3 dedicated training sessions were delivered by esteemed and prodigious National CERT incumbents.
The first session, led by Syed Imran Haider (Assistant Director Trainings), focused on โ€œResponsible AI Adoption and Robust Cybersecurity Practices.โ€ The session highlighted the importance of governance in AI deployment, emphasizing ethical considerations, data protection mechanisms, and the integration of security safeguards from the outset.
In the second session, Syed Zain ul Hasan (Deputy Director Red Team) delivered an immersive and highly interactive module titled โ€œInside a Hackerโ€™s Mind โ€“ From Spoofing to Data Breaches: How Cyber Attacks Really Work.โ€ This segment walked participants through real-world attack vectors, threat actor behavior, and common exploitation techniques.
The workshop concluded with a technical session by Masooma Ali, (Technology Engineer), who spoke on โ€œStrengthening Cyber Resilience through Security by Design.โ€ She underscored the need for embedding security controls throughout the entire technology lifecycleโ€”from architecture and development to deployment and maintenance.
National CERT remains committed to supporting national institutions with capacity-building initiatives that enhance Pakistanโ€™s cybersecurity posture and accelerate safe, secure digital transformation across the public sector.
