๐๐๐น๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฑ, ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป โ The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan contributed to the 3rd iteration of extended workshop on the โCyber Resilience, AI, and Digital Transformation Training for Officers of Ministriesโ, conducted in collaboration with the National Information Technology Board -NITB and the Ministry Of IT & Telecom (MoITT). The workshop aimed to strengthen the cyber readiness of government ministries by equipping officers with practical knowledge, essential frameworks, and emerging insights related to cybersecurity and responsible AI adoption under the Digital Nation Pakistan initiative. 3 dedicated training sessions were delivered by esteemed and prodigious National CERT incumbents.
The first session, led by Syed Imran Haider (Assistant Director Trainings), focused on โResponsible AI Adoption and Robust Cybersecurity Practices.โ The session highlighted the importance of governance in AI deployment, emphasizing ethical considerations, data protection mechanisms, and the integration of security safeguards from the outset.
In the second session, Syed Zain ul Hasan (Deputy Director Red Team) delivered an immersive and highly interactive module titled โInside a Hackerโs Mind โ From Spoofing to Data Breaches: How Cyber Attacks Really Work.โ This segment walked participants through real-world attack vectors, threat actor behavior, and common exploitation techniques.
The workshop concluded with a technical session by Masooma Ali, (Technology Engineer), who spoke on โStrengthening Cyber Resilience through Security by Design.โ She underscored the need for embedding security controls throughout the entire technology lifecycleโfrom architecture and development to deployment and maintenance.
