𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗧’𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥'𝐬 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝗜𝗣𝗔 𝗟𝗮𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲

𝗟𝗮𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲, 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 – As part of the National CERT’s Distinguished Trainer Program, Dr. Ayesha Altaf and Dr. Faiza Iqbal, both Assistant Professors at the Department of Computer Science, University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, were entrusted with conducting two essential hands-on workshops for senior government officials at the National Institute of Public Administration - NIPA, Lahore. These workshops aim to enhance the knowledge and skills of participants in crucial areas of technology and security.

The first workshop, titled "Data Governance and Cyber Security," focused on the importance of managing and securing data in today's digital world. Dr. Ayesha Altaf, an expert in the field, led a comprehensive session that covered best practices for ensuring data privacy, security, and compliance within governmental systems. The second workshop, "Cyber Security and the Use of IT Applications," was conducted by Dr. Faiza Iqbal, emphasizing the growing need for robust cybersecurity measures in the use of various IT applications by public sector employees.

As an essential component of the National CERT’s Capacity Building Program, these workshops were designed to equip government employees with the necessary skills to manage data securely and mitigate the growing threats of cyberattacks. Through engaging discussions, case studies, and interactive exercises, participants gained valuable insights into the evolving landscape of cybersecurity. The National CERT remains committed to making a robust and secure digital environment within the public sector, ensuring that government officials are well-prepared to navigate and address emerging challenges in the field of information technology.
