𝗥𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗱𝗵, 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗮 – The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan is pleased to announce the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Group-IB during the Black Hat MEA 2025 conference. The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Haider Abbas, Director General National CERT, and Mr. Ashraf Koheil, Vice President META & ANZ at Group-IB, marking a major milestone in Pakistan’s journey toward enhanced national cyber preparedness and resilience.
This partnership brings together the collective strengths of a leading national cybersecurity authority and a globally recognized threat intelligence and cybersecurity solutions provider. Through this collaboration, National CERT and Group-IB will work closely to advance national cyber incident response, deploy robust digital fraud prevention mechanisms, and expand visibility into sophisticated and emerging cyber threats targeting critical infrastructure across Pakistan.
Furthermore, the MoU establishes a framework for joint research and development, collaborative cybercrime investigations, threat attribution initiatives, and specialized capacity-building programs. These efforts are designed to uplift Pakistan’s cybersecurity ecosystem, enhance technical capabilities, and strengthen public-private cooperation in the face of rapidly evolving global cyber risks.
