The National Cyber Emergency Response Team of Pakistan (PKCERT) took center stage at the International Conference on Open Source Systems and Technology (ICOSST 2023) at UET Lahore. Mr. Khurram Javed, Director of Capacity Building, in his keynote address, emphasized unraveling the intricate relationship between psychological vulnerabilities and the myriad challenges in the cybersecurity domain with the aim of heightening awareness and providing practical insights.
A significant aspect of the address highlighted the National CERT’s pivotal role in cybersecurity awareness and capacity development. Mr. Khurram accentuated the team’s proactive engagement with the public, corporate, and government entities, emphasizing the importance of fostering a cybersecurity-conscious community. Additionally, the functions, structure, and initiatives of National CERT were also discussed.
