๐๐๐น๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฑ, ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป โ Building on the impact of last year's program, National CERT has commenced the 2nd Cohort of Cyber Champs Internship Program. It is a six-week capacity-building program dedicated to fostering cyber awareness, digital resilience, and responsible online behaviour among children. The program is designed to equip enthusiastic young learners with essential cybersecurity knowledge through engaging, interactive, and hands-on learning experiences.
The inaugural session commenced with an introduction to the six-week internship program by Ms. Zaheema Iqbal, Assistant Director Advisories & Communications, who welcomed the participants and outlined the program's objectives and learning journey. The opening ceremony also included the distribution of souvenirs, symbolizing the cyber champsโ commitment to becoming ambassadors of cyber safety and digital responsibility.
The young learners also attended an insightful awareness session delivered by Mr. Khurram Javed, Director Capacity Building, covering a broad spectrum of critical cybersecurity topics, including password security best practices, protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Wi-Fi security, mobile phone and application security, phishing prevention, safeguarding one's digital footprint, managing screen time, recognizing cyber scams and financial fraud, and protecting against cyber harassment. The session concluded with an engaging hands-on activity that enabled participants to practically apply the concepts discussed.
Through the Cyber Champs Internship Program 2026, National CERT continues its commitment to strengthening Pakistan's cybersecurity ecosystem by cultivating a generation of informed, vigilant, and cyber-resilient digital citizens capable of contributing to a safer cyberspace for all.
