𝗟𝗮𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲, 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 – Dr. Haider Abbas, Director General, National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) Pakistan, addressed more than 100 senior civil servants from the National Management Course (NMC) and Senior Management Course (SMC) at the National School of Public Policy (NSPP).

The session on Cybersecurity Risks and Countermeasures for the Public Sector brought together participants from the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), Foreign Service of Pakistan, Police Service of Pakistan, Federal Board of Revenue, and other occupational groups from provincial and federal departments.

DG National CERT highlighted the evolving cyber threat landscape, key vulnerabilities facing government institutions, protection of critical digital assets, cyber hygiene, incident preparedness, and practical measures to strengthen institutional cyber resilience.

He emphasized that in an increasingly digital government environment, cybersecurity is not merely an IT responsibility, it is a strategic governance and national security imperative.
