𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱, 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 – The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) conducted an interactive training session on “Disaster Recovery & Operations Continuity” for participants of its Summer Internship Program 2026, strengthening their understanding of organizational resilience, business continuity, and effective recovery in the face of cyber incidents and operational disruptions.

The session, delivered by Mr. Ikram Ul Haq Syed, CEO, Centric Consulting, provided interns with practical insights into the importance of preparing organizations to withstand, respond to, and recover from disruptive events. The training focused on five key areas: Understanding the Threat Landscape, identifying emerging risks and potential disruptions; Detecting & Analyzing Cyber Threats, recognizing indicators that may affect critical operations; Responding to Security Incidents Effectively, emphasizing structured response and decision-making; Exploring Security Operations in the Real World, connecting cybersecurity concepts with practical organizational environments; and Building a Security Mindset for the Future, fostering resilience, preparedness, and continuous learning.

The session highlighted that effective cybersecurity extends beyond preventing incidents. It also requires organizations to maintain critical operations, minimize disruption, recover efficiently, and continuously strengthen their resilience against evolving threats.

The engagement reflects National CERT’s commitment to bridging young cybersecurity talent with experienced industry practitioners, equipping interns with practical knowledge and a deeper understanding of real-world cybersecurity and operational resilience. The interns participated with keen interest and actively engaged with the trainer throughout the session.
