𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗧 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝘁𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀

The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan successfully organized a specialized cybersecurity capacity building training titled “FIRST Security Training Course” for its officials and technical resource persons at its headquarters. The training was designed to further strengthen institutional readiness, enhance professional competencies, and reinforce operational resilience against evolving cyber threats.

Conducted under a Whole of Organization (WoO) Approach, the program brought together resources from National CERT's technical and operation tiers to build expertise in cybersecurity incident management and coordinated response.

The course covered key modules including FIRST Security Boot Camp, DDoS Mitigation Fundamentals and FIRST Threat Intelligence Pipelines. As the global Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams, FIRST is internationally recognized as the premier organization and global leader in incident response, making this training a significant step toward aligning National CERT’s capabilities with international best practices.

The training was delivered by Mr. Muhammad Asad Ul Rehman, National CERT’s distinguished trainer, under the Distinguished Trainers Program (DTP). Participants demonstrated strong engagement and keen interest throughout the sessions, reflecting National CERT’s commitment to continuous learning, professional excellence, and proactive national cyber defense. Such initiatives remain central to building a secure, resilient, and future-ready digital Pakistan.
