𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗧 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻’𝘀 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰-𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱, 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 —The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan has launched the Cyber Security Handbook 2026–2027, providing practical and accessible cybersecurity guidance for employees, officers, officials, and technical personnel across the Federal Government, Provincial Governments, and Public Sector Organizations. The handbook was formally launched by the Federal Minister, Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan, Ms. Shaza Khawaja, alongside the DG National CERT, Dr. Haider Abbas, TI.

Developed in response to the rapidly evolving digital landscape, the handbook underscores that cybersecurity is a shared responsibility. As government services and information systems become increasingly interconnected, the everyday actions of government personnel play a critical role in safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of national information assets.

The handbook translates the requirements of the Pakistan Information Security Framework (PISF) 2026, National Cyber Security Policy 2021, CERT Rules 2023, and other applicable laws, regulations, and government directives into clear, actionable guidance. It also incorporates internationally recognized cybersecurity standards and best practices to promote a consistent, risk-based approach to securing government information and systems.

Organized across eight practical domains, the handbook provides concise guidance, recommended practices, and clearly defined user responsibilities to help prevent cyber incidents, protect sensitive information, support regulatory compliance, and strengthen Pakistan’s overall cyber resilience.
