This initiative is central to empowering government entities with essential tools and knowledge to navigate an evolving cybersecurity landscape.
The workshop brought together representatives from key ministries, including the PEMRA (Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority), the Ministry of Religious Affairs & Interfaith Harmony, Pakistan, the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and HRD, and the Ministry of Human Rights. Participants engaged in discussions focused on actionable frameworks and strategies to protect organizational digital infrastructures from emerging threats.
Dr. Mehreen Afzal Afzal, Director of GRC, led a session on proactive risk management and organizational collaboration. She introduced advanced techniques from the National CERTโs โCybersecurity Implementation Guidelines,โ providing participants with a clear roadmap to identify vulnerabilities and adopt preventive measures.
Mr. Khurram Javed, Director of Capacity Building, presented innovative methods for building resilience. His interactive session on strategic cybersecurity planning and institutional preparedness encouraged participants to adopt a forward-thinking approach to risk mitigation.
The fourth session further strengthened โCyberSecureGovโ as a vital platform for promoting dialogue, sharing best practices, and building expertise among government entities. With active participation and impactful strategies shared, the initiative continues to contribute to Pakistanโs cybersecurity defense.
