๐๐๐น๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฑ, ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ปโ The National Cyber Emergency Response Team of Pakistan, in partnership with the National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences - FAST, successfully conducted a Cyber Drill Training for Government Organizations on Day 1 of โCyber Muhafizโ at FAST-NUCES, Islamabad. Sponsored by Arwentech Pvt. Limited and supported by Zettabyte as technology partners, the event aimed to strengthen National Cyber resilience and operational readiness through practical, hands-on exercises and expert-led knowledge sharing.
The training emphasized tactical cyber readiness through simulations and drills tailored to equip cybersecurity teams for real-world threat scenarios. Over 100 participants from key government entitiesโincluding the Ministry of Defence (MoD), State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Ministry of Interior, NEPRA, NADRA, SECP, NTC, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and othersโactively engaged in the comprehensive exercise, marking a significant step forward in strengthening collective cyber capacity development.
The inaugural and closing ceremonies were attended by senior representatives from National CERT and FAST-NUCES, including Mr. Khurram Javed (Director Capacity Building - NCERT), Dr. Aftab Ahmad (Rector, FAST-NUCES), Mr. Syed Imran Haider (AD Trainings - NCERT), Dr. Waseem Shahzad (Director, FAST), and Dr. Muhammad Asim (Head of IS Department, FAST). The full-day cyber drill offered participants hands-on experience with both red and blue team strategies, reinforcing a defense-in-depth approach to cybersecurity. The day concluded with closing remarks by Mr. Khurram Javed and Dr. Muhammad Asim, who expressed their appreciation to all participants, trainers, and partners for their valuable contributions to the eventโs success.
