Cyber Champs - Cyber Security Internship Program for Kids

National CERT is incredibly proud to launch Cyber Champs: Cyber Security Internship Program for Kids, a groundbreaking initiative which is designed to shape a cyber-resilient future for our country. The six-week journey kicked off with the enthusiastic on-boarding of our first cohort of young digital learners, eager to explore cybersecurity in a fun, safe, and purposeful way.

The children received a warm welcome from Ms. Zaheema Iqbal, Assistant Director Advisories and Communication. This was followed by a formal address from Mr. Khuram Javed, Director Capacity Building, who delivered an insightful session introducing the Cyber Security Program for Kids. He spoke in depth about essential topics such as cyber security hygiene, password protection, contemporary cyber challenges, best practices for staying safe online, and the responsible use of cyberspace, setting the stage for a meaningful and impactful learning journey. The kids actively participated in this immersive experience, engaging with the content through discussions, activities, and real-life examples that brought the world of cyber safety to life.

In today’s digital era, children face growing online risks, from misinformation to unethical online behaviour. This program equips them with essential tools to safely navigate the internet, identify and spot misinformation, understand digital ethics, think critically in the face of cyber threats, and build creative problem-solving skills that will serve them for life. Through expert-led sessions, hands-on digital safety training, and interactive, tech-driven learning, kids will gain both knowledge and confidence.

This initiative reflects NCERT’s deep commitment to supporting a safer digital future for Pakistan. We hope parents, educators, and community members will continue to promote cyber awareness and encourage healthy digital habits among children. Together, we can raise a generation of cyber-smart Pakistani youth, fully equipped to thrive in the digital economy. Upon completion, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from National CERT; a proud milestone in their early digital empowerment journey.
