๐๐๐น๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฑ, ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป โ Continuing its mission to promote cybersecurity awareness among students, the National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) successfully conducted an insightful training session under its Cyber Care for Children (CCC) initiative at The Millennium Universal College, H-11/4, (TMUC Islamabad). This initiative, a key pillar of National CERTโs Cybersecurity Capacity Building Program, is designed to equip students, educators, and parents with critical knowledge and skills for safe and responsible digital engagement.
The session was led by Director Capacity Building, Mr. Khurram Javed, who provided in-depth insights into various aspects of online security. He discussed the importance of recognizing threats and risks associated with online activities, emphasizing how students can protect themselves from potential cyber dangers. The training covered best practices for password management, securing online accounts, safe browsing habits and identifying phishing scams to help students navigate the internet securely.
The discussion extended to social media privacy and etiquettes, stressing the need for responsible online behavior. Furthermore, security aspects of online games and smartphone usage were explored, providing valuable guidance on minimizing risks in digital entertainment. Lastly, Mr. Javed addressed the critical issues of cyberbullying and online harassment, equipping students with strategies to safeguard themselves and seek help when needed. The interactive session saw active participation from students, who raised thought-provoking questions and shared personal experiences, underscoring the growing need for cybersecurity education in todayโs digital age.
