𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱, 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 – The National CERT partnered up with Yottabyte in organizing the Cyber Defence Conference 2025, in collaboration with the National University of Sciences and Technology - NUST, Islamabad, National Science & Technology Park (NSTP), and APNIC foundation. The event served as a vital platform for industry leaders, government officials, academia, and technology professionals to discuss the most pressing cybersecurity challenges and explore strategic solutions. With a strong focus on equipping stakeholders with the knowledge and tools needed to protect digital assets, the conference underscored the significance of proactive cybersecurity measures in an increasingly digital world.

Dr. Haider Abbas, TI, Director General, National CERT, delivered an insightful keynote address, shedding light on the evolving cybersecurity landscape in Pakistan and the imperative for global collaboration. His address highlighted the need for cohesive efforts across national and international fronts to mitigate cyber threats effectively. Furthermore, Mr. Khurram Javed, Director Capacity Building, represented the National CERT in a high-level panel discussion on strengthening cybersecurity capabilities. His discussion centered on enhancing collaboration between government, private enterprises, and academia to develop a robust cybersecurity workforce. Adding to the discourse, Dr. Mehreen Afzal, Director GRC, National CERT, contributed significantly to the panel discussion on navigating the complex cybersecurity policy landscape. Her insights provided a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory framework essential for fortifying national cyber defenses.
