๐๐๐น๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฑ, ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป โ The National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) of Pakistan has successfully concluded the Internship Program 2025 as part of its broader Capacity Building Program. Following the resounding success of last yearโs program, this yearโs internship provided budding professionals with valuable hands-on experience across multiple domains including Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Incident Management & Threat Intelligence, Cybersecurity Training Development, Software Security Testing, Project Management, Software Development, Social Media Management, Content Writing, and VFX & Video Editing.
This year, nearly 200 interns were placed across different directorates of the National CERT for an 6-week immersive program, enabling them to engage directly with experts, projects, and real-world challenges in the field of cybersecurity and related areas. The initiative aimed to nurture emerging talent, strengthen national cyber resilience, and equip the next generation with skills aligned with Pakistanโs digital security priorities.
The Internship Program concluded with a formal ceremony at the National CERT Headquarters, where Dr. Haider Abbas, TI (DG National CERT), awarded certificates of completion to the interns. In his address, he highlighted the growing importance of cybersecurity, encouraged the interns to pursue careers in this critical field, and extended his best wishes for their future endeavors. The occasion was also graced by Mr. Khurram Javed (Director Capacity Building), Dr. Mehreen Afzal (Director GRC) & Mr. Syed Imran Haider (Assistant Director - Trainings) who shared their insights and interacted with the interns, appreciating their enthusiasm and contributions.
The National CERT remains committed to building a robust cybersecurity workforce and will continue to provide platforms for youth engagement, professional development, and capacity building to strengthen Pakistanโs cyber defense ecosystem.
