Child Advisory Members (CAP) from across Pakistan actively took part in the event focused on raising awareness about online protection for children.

The camp featured interactive ice-breaking activities, quizzes, Q&A sessions and creative engagements such as sticker and hashtag designing, enabling children to learn about safe digital practices in an engaging manner. A thought-provoking panel discussion was held with representatives from PTA, NCRC, Telenor, Child Protection Institute, Digital Rights Foundation and National CERT, where Mr. Khurram Javed, Director Capacity Building (National CERT), emphasized online safety best practices, highlighted threats such as cyberbullying, hate speech, and harassment, and explained effective reporting mechanisms. The session was further enriched with screening of awareness videos, role plays by CAP members and a mental health awareness session by Ms. Asma Humayun from the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives.

In addition, a team from Meta joined virtually to conduct an insightful dialogue on the safe use of social media and messaging apps, covering important aspects such as protecting personal information, privacy protection policies, content moderation and governance standards. The camp concluded with a digital safety song performance by CAP members, leaving participants inspired and better equipped to navigate the digital world responsibly. National CERT remains fully committed to strengthening child online protection, raising awareness, and working with partners to ensure a safer digital environment for children across Pakistan.
