This session marked a significant step forward by engaging critical government organizations including the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan, National Information Technology Board -NITB, Directorate General Immigration & Passports, and the MIS Wing of the Home Department, Government of Punjab. The diverse participation underscored the growing recognition of cybersecurity as a shared responsibility across sectors. Focusing on evolving threats and sector-specific challenges, the session provided a platform for hands-on learning, collaboration, and knowledge exchange.
Dr. Mehreen Afzal, Director Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), presented key insights on cyber risk identification and the necessity of aligning departmental strategies to national security frameworks. She emphasized the importance of using structured guidelines to proactively manage digital vulnerabilities and improve institutional resilience. Mr. Khurram Javed, Director Capacity Building, led an engaging and interactive session on building strategic cybersecurity roadmaps.
