𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗧 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 “𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗚𝗼𝘃: 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲”

𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱, 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 – The National CERT successfully conducted the eighth session of its flagship program, 'CyberSecureGov: Cyber Guidelines Initiative', continuing its mission to enhance cybersecurity awareness and capabilities within Pakistan’s public sector.

This session marked a significant step forward by engaging critical government organizations including the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan, National Information Technology Board -NITB, Directorate General Immigration & Passports, and the MIS Wing of the Home Department, Government of Punjab. The diverse participation underscored the growing recognition of cybersecurity as a shared responsibility across sectors. Focusing on evolving threats and sector-specific challenges, the session provided a platform for hands-on learning, collaboration, and knowledge exchange.

Dr. Mehreen Afzal, Director Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), presented key insights on cyber risk identification and the necessity of aligning departmental strategies to national security frameworks. She emphasized the importance of using structured guidelines to proactively manage digital vulnerabilities and improve institutional resilience. Mr. Khurram Javed, Director Capacity Building, led an engaging and interactive session on building strategic cybersecurity roadmaps. His focus on operational readiness and long-term planning inspired participants to adopt dynamic and forward-thinking approaches within their departments.

The session reinforced CyberSecureGov’s reputation as a vital enabler of cybersecurity transformation in government. It provided a meaningful opportunity for inter-agency dialogue, capacity development, and the exchange of best practices.
