๐—œ๐˜€๐—น๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ, ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐—ธ๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ป โ€“ The National CERT successfully conducted the seventh session of the โ€œCyberSecureGov: Cyber Guidelines Initiative,โ€ continuing its vital role in enhancing cybersecurity across government entities. This initiative remains essential for empowering public sector organizations with the knowledge and tools needed to tackle ever-evolving cyber threats.

This session brought together key incumbents from the Senate of Pakistan and the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. The discussions centered around specialized cybersecurity strategies, customized frameworks, and best practices designed to protect sensitive government digital infrastructure from emerging cyber risks.

Dr. Mehreen Afzal, Director GRC, led a compelling session on institutional risk awareness and the importance of cross-organizational security alignment. Drawing on the National CERTโ€™s โ€œCybersecurity Implementation Guidelines,โ€ she outlined actionable protocols for identifying systemic vulnerabilities and enhancing interdepartmental security cohesion. Mr. Khurram Javed, Director Capacity Building, facilitated an interactive session on institutional preparedness and strategic cybersecurity planning. His engaging approach motivated participants to embrace innovative strategies to bolster cyber resilience within their respective institutions.

The session further reinforced CyberSecureGovโ€™s position as a key platform for dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and capacity building in cybersecurity across government entities. With robust participation and impactful discussions, the initiative continues to strengthen Pakistanโ€™s national cyber defense.

The National CERT remains committed to advancing the countryโ€™s cybersecurity resilience, with additional sessions planned to extend the programโ€™s reach and improve digital security across the public sector.
