𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗧 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 "𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗚𝗼𝘃: 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲"

𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗧 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱 – Following the success of its inaugural session, the National CERT hosted the second session of the “CyberSecureGov: Cyber Guidelines Initiative.” This initiative, an integral component of the National CERT’s Cybersecurity Capacity Building Program, is designed to empower government organizations with essential tools and knowledge for safeguarding their digital infrastructures against evolving cyber threats.

Incumbents from the National Heritage and Culture Division, Lok Virsa, the Ministry of Communications, and the Ministry of Commerce actively participated in the workshop. The session emphasized strengthening cybersecurity frameworks, focusing on Security Posture Assessment and Security Posture Analysis to identify vulnerabilities and enhance defense mechanisms.

Dr. Mehreen Afzal, Director GRC, led the session, emphasizing the critical importance of adopting comprehensive cybersecurity measures across government organizations. She elaborated the National CERT's "Cybersecurity Implementation Guidelines," providing actionable strategies to mitigate risks and ensure a proactive security posture. Complementing her insights, Mr. Khurram Javed, Director Capacity Building, presented practical frameworks and methodologies for enhancing institutional resilience against cyber risks. His detailed discussion on cybersecurity governance highlighted the value of strategic planning and capacity building in addressing modern threats effectively.

The “CyberSecureGov” initiative continues to serve as a platform for knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and skill enhancement among public sector entities. With additional sessions planned, National CERT remains steadfast in its mission to enhance Pakistan’s cyber readiness and resilience.
